Floral Trend for Spring 2012: Marc By Marc Jacobs Dusty Sage Floral Silk Dress & more shopping the trend!

We have another Resort/Spring 2012 trend to share, and this one is as fresh as it is pretty! Get ready for a bouquet of flowers in any colour combination that takes your fancy... from splashes of pink, green and blue, to statement red and white, or pretty much any colour combined with black.



If you're looking for a new party dress, consider one of the delightful floral dresses below - with special mention going to the red & white floral print dress by Tibi (the shape is fabulous and the print is gorgeous!). While we're in the winter months, just wear your floral dress with black tights, and black pumps (keep the boots sleek with these floral prints). And for a more festive look, carry a clutch in one of the colours from your floral print - be careful not to be too matchy, you just want to be nicely co-ordinated with an extra splash of colour.

For the office, it's not too soon to start wearing florals, as you can throw on a long jacket in basic black or sharp navy - or choose a long sleeve shift dress (no jacket required!). A little cardigan over a chic floral dress will give you that retro 'Mad Men' look, but definitely wear a jacket if you have client meetings, or need to impress with your professionalism! When the work day is over, you can definitely lose the cardigan and/or the jacket.
