Electric Blue Trend 2012: Dresses, tops & more in bright shades of blue

It's time for a quick look at a color trend this season - it has been a few weeks since the official start of spring, which means you should now be incorporating those bright colors into your wardrobe. Electric blue has been on our radar for a while - it's versatile and more timeless than some of the other "neon" shades that are so popular right now. And it's definitely a very flattering color.

To update your look immediately, choose a dress in bright blue - styles are simple and feminine, and range from flared mini dresses,  to elegant draping and even floor-sweeping maxi dresses. To  work this color into your existing wardrobe, just pick up a a couple of silk tops (or casual tees), as you can wear them to the office now, and with shorts or white skinny cropped jeans in the middle of the summer. Or how about a statement blazer in bright blue? Throw it over your existing day dresses, or pair it with printed jeans for a more fashion forward look (ie. mix and matching bold colours and prints).
