It's time to take another look at white dresses, that summer standard that gets a fresh update every year!
By now your summer wardrobe should be in full swing, and even if the weather isn't quite as accommodating as we would like, your whites should be front & center (paired with a little jacket, or bright knits). White has also been a very popular celebrity trend, if we have profiled one white lace dress on the celebrity edition, we have profiled twenty! It has been the trend that keeps on giving.
If you work in an office, white lace may not really be your thing, but there are plenty of white dresses that look great for the workplace. My favorite right now is the minimalist trend, something chic and sleek, with few ruffles and no embellishment. Paired with statement pumps and a little jacket, you will be dressed perfectly appropriate for meetings - later in the evening you can lose the jacket and give it a kick with some gold jewelry.
It's those evening events and afternoon parties where you can indulge your love of white lace - and don't forget a very on-trend alternative to lace is Broderie Anglaise - there are some terrific examples of this traditional needlework to be found this season. Since weekend is where anything goes, you can have fun mixing your white dresses with funky accessories, fabulous not-appropriate-for-work-shoes or even some sheer treats! A sampling of current season white dresses below..

If you have been looking for fresh new ideas for your work wardrobe this season, this is the perfect trend for you! You won't find anything here that is cutout, mini, sheer plunging or the very trendy, but not office-appropriate, thigh-high slit!
This trend is stylish and fun, but is still this-side of practical.. while we love celebrity fashion, and all those fabulous edgy trends like cutout & sheer, they aren't for everyone (and for most of us, it's certainly not appropriate for the workplace!).
Tops and blouses are a staple in every work wardrobe - whether you pair them with a slim fit pant, or have a favourite little pencil skirt. And when you switch to lighter fabrics, cropped trousers, or even natural linen skirts during the hot summer days, these new statement blouses can be worn with all of the above!
We have covered an assortment of new prints on the site already - floral, polka dot, bold colours - and you will find all of these in tops & blouses. And since shapes are more casual this season, most of these can be worn without tucking-in. Just make sure you don't look too casual - tapered chic trousers paired with an elegant pump will give

We have more trends in store for Summer 2011, and in keeping with the summer sunshine right around the corner, this is a fun bold splash of colour!
Floral trends have been covered here before (especially during the the summer seasons!), but this is a fresh variation on the floral trend that will help your wardrobe make a statement this season. The Spring/Summer 2011 runway was full of interesting prints - botanicals, tropical, even a terrific yellow citrus print from Stella McCartney. And as we go from runway to reality, a while new crop of statement floral has arrived online.
This is a trend that can be worn in a vairty of ways - for the office, or conservative worksplace, a bold print blouse wil do the trick, paired with a cream skirt, or navy cropped trousers.
You can also add statement floral through accessorizing - floral print shoes, statement floral handbags, or a bright chiffon scarf added to a white shift dress. And a floral maxi dress is perfect fun weekend wear.
There is a terrific assortment of statement floral, at an asoortment of price ranges, check out the selection below!

June is right around the corner and for many of us that means warmer weather and summer brights. But at the same time, you are correct in thinking it's a little little early to throw yourself 100% into the summer season!
Transitional pieces can be tricky to add to your wardrobe - something that felt lightweight back in March starts to get a little too warm in May. And we don't always have room in the budget for pieces that have limited wear... which is where these blue print dresses come in.
Blue is an important colour this summer - it was present on the Spring/Summer 2011 runway, and received plenty of wear on red carpet. But rather than just cover the color trend, we decided to make it a little more interesting, with a focus on blue print dresses that you can wear right now and in the middle of the summer!
These are more than transitional dresses - they are versatile and pretty, perfect for work, evening or casual weekends. And they come in a variety of shades that will suit everyone... light blue & white for a fresh look, elegant and subtle shades of royal blue, and even a darker shade, close to navy.
The prints are varied as well - abstract cloud prints, sharp geometric looks, or even a hot new Aztec print. Kim
