More from Paris Fashion Week, Elie Saab's latest couture collection was breathtaking assortment of feminine pastel shades with all the couture craftsmanship we expect - floral embroidery, sequins, crystals, gossamer, and gorgeous applique. The shapes ranged from flared cocktail dresses, to lean and sharp extravagent gowns and even included magnificent ballgowns that will certainly be seen on the red carpet.
The colour palette was like sugar-coated candy - pale yellow, coral, light pink and blue, gorgeous shades of barely there champagne & blush and bright white.

This collection took a joyful look at Southern Italy, with colorful and oversized bright prints that included tomatoes, peppers and even eggplant. Lush but almost rustic in nature, the collection had a 50s feel to it, from the elegant textured suiting to full skirts and bare midriffs. But a Dolce & Gabbana collection wouldn't be complete without sexy black lace - the evening mesh, colorful crystals and sparkling hotpants still managed to look ladylike and elegant.

Continuing a sneak peek at Spring/Summer 2012, get ready for ramped up sexy with this latest collection from Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci. His love of lace continues, and lace appears as trim on midriff-baring tops, on the hem of flowing maxi dresses, and in his usual statement-making head to toe lace embellished dresses. Some of these dresses have red carpet written all over them, and if you saw Gwyneth Paltrow at the 2011 Emmy Awards, her black lace bare-midriff dress was from this collection.. before it appeared on the runway!
The signature colourful Pucci prints were long, loose, and flowing, and the palette included swirling shades of red and pink, green and yellow, and even aqua and turquoise mixed with purple

Elie Saab showed off his new Spring 2011 couture collection during Paris Fashion Week, and it's not a question of "if" these dresses will be worn on the red carpet - we just have to ask "who" and "when".
And it's not just his Haute Couture collection that has become a favourite among celebrities - his Ready to Wear dresses have been seen on everyone from Angelina Jolie to Mila Kunis, Halle Berry and Helen Mirren.
For Spring 2011, gone were dramatic sheers and bright metallics, replaced by soft pinks with floral applique, pale grey lace, with delicate and demure details that remind us of an elegant romantic garden party. There were sequins, but they were softer - more sprinkled than dramatic.. and all the dresses were very wearable.
The elegant flow of skirts, casual but precise draping, and how about the stunning sweeping pink floral applique dress dripping with twinkling petals? A work of art.
As far as couture goes, these dresses looked wonderfully wearable, and it's an easy guess that we will see some of them on the red carpet at the Academy Awsards next month!
