Red Carpet Fashion Trend: The Color Red
The 63rd Primetime Emmys were held last night, and it's time for a lok at a few of the major red carpet trends!
The big winners were 'Modern Family' for comedy (both Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell won Best Supporting Actress & Best Supporting Actor), 'Downtown Abbey', 'Mildred Pierce' (Kate Winslet & Guy Pierce'), and there were even a couple of surprises as Friday Night Lights finally received long overdue Emmy recognition.

Day 1 of the 2011 Cannes Film festival brought out some of the biggest names in celebrity fashion - not only is Uma Thurman on the judging panel (which guarantees some terrific looks), both Salma Hayek and Rachel McAdams heated up their premieres in Gucci Premiere and Marchesa.
When it comes to fashion at Cannes, there are two events for each film - the casual Photocall, and the evening Red Carpet Premiere. The word "casual" can only be loosely applied to the photocall, as it is anything but casual. Rachel McAdams made her first appearance at the 2011 Festival VERY memorable, wearing a stunning Maxime Simoens cream dress, from Spring/Summer Haute Couture to the photocall for 'Midnight in Paris', her new Woody Allen film. Hair and makeup was flawless, as you can see in the close-up below.
Photocalls usually bring out elegant day dresses, or sharp tailored separates, but at the Red Carpet Premieres, Haute Couture is the norm. Roberto Cavalli actually has his yacht parked nearby, and I've always wondered just how many dresses are hidden there (I bet that is some walk-in closet!).

A who's who of fashion attended the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and it also marked the official opening of the new exhibit 'Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty'.

Tennis fans will be thrilled the US Open started today, and while that means the end of summer is near, it also means back to school fashion, and an update on your fall wardrobe. And every teen knows exactly who these two celebs are! Pretty little Demi Lovato joined the Jonas Brothers over the weekend for 2010 US Open Arthur Ashe Kids Day, and we have a couple of fashion spots to share.

She paired the dress with gladiator sandals, but as the weather starts to turn a little cooler, how about casual boots and a biker jacket with the dress?

The folks at "Live With Regis and Kelly" have taken the show on the road for the week of July 12th-17th, and landed in very pretty & picturesque Prince Edward Island, a welcome change from the New York studio environment. And an even more welcome change for their Canadian fans! P.E.I is a lovely tourist spot, and the show has already generated much interest in the region.. nicely done...

When Vera Wang opened her new boutique in Los Angeles back in March 2010, it was no surprise to see the who's who of stylish celebs in attendance.
