From May 4 to July 31, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will present "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," a collection of pieces that span his extraordinary 19 year career, from the post-graduate collection for back in 1992 that drew immediate acclaim, to his last complete runway show for Spring/Summer 2010, 'Atlantis'.
From May 10 to August 19, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will present "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" a look at two influential Italian women of fashion across seven themed galleries. The 'conversation' occurs in a video directed by Baz Luhrmann, as Australian actress Judy Davis plays Elsa Schiaparelli, who passes away in 1973, with Miuccia Prada herself inserted into the narrative
