Gemma Arterton was nominated for BAFTA Rising Star Award, which I found a little odd (if you saw her red carpet interview, apparently she did as well!). I actually consider her an established & talented actress, it's easy to forget she is only 25, and not too long ago was a St Trinian's girl!

Jessica Alba ditched her usual mini dress and went for a bright blue empire waist dress by Versace, with thigh high slit (only visible when she walked on stage) and gorgeous turquoise, gold & diamond necklace. I have to say this colour is stunning on her! She had a little bit of an awkward moment when Geoffery Rush wasn't there to pick up his award for Best Supporting Actor. The hair was in a Heidi-esque braided updo, this is a hairstyle we are seeming more of lately..

It's great to see a BAFTA red carpet dress you can buy online, and we have a Lanvin dress courtesy of Emma Stone. She didn't win the 'BAFTA Rising Star' award, but she is certainly winning a place on every best dressed list lately!
She wore Lanvin - a two-tone "scuba" dress from the Spring/Summer 2011 runway. This asymmetric orange & red dress is available for pre-order at LUISAVIAROMA. Wow... she looked great.

Can someone refresh my memory please... Rachel Stevens had a baby when..??? I'm sure I didn't imagine it, she became a new mum back in Novemeber 2010. She just appeared on the red carpet at the 2011 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) and has to be my first dress covered. She looks fantastic, baby or not.. wearing a label that I have wanted to cover for some time!

It's time for some more BAFTA fashion, and Girls Aloud fans will be thrilled to see one of their own! And it's another stunning nude dress, this time with some sparkle. Now Kimberley Walsh may not be receiving some early rave reviews for her interview style on E!, but she's just so lovely, I can forgive her anything.
She looked amazing - and in amazing shape - in a snowflake sequin gown by Ashley Isham. I would love for this dress to be available online, but it appears to be custom.

Spot: Sarah Harding & Thandie Newton wore bright dresses to the Orange British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) held at the Royal Opera House.
The weather may have been dreary, but that didn't stop a few celebrities from wearing bold bright colours on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards 2011!
Thandie Newton went for bright pink in a gorgeous rose print strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier. Thandie can do no wrong in my book, and I love seeing her in splashes of colour - this dress just catches the eye, with folded origami skirt and stunning colour. Definitely one of the best dressed of the night!

Spot: Valentino asymmetric nude gown with white lace applique & ruffle shoulder as seen on Emma Watson at the Orange British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) held at the Royal Opera House.
It would be accurate to say the most anticipated fashion arriaval on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards 2011 was Emma Watson.. and while she is attending on behalf of the Harry Potter Films (they will receive the award for "Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema"), she looked nothing like Hermione!
The rain may have dampened the red carpet, and some of Emma's train, but check out that gorgeous Valentino Haute Couture dress.. very delicate asymmetric nude gown with white lace applique & tulle shoulder ruffle. If you watched some of the red carpet coverage, she looked breezy and fresh and happy to sign
