Taylor Swift & Rihanna in white - 2012 MTV VMAs Best Dressed!

MTV Awards Shows have always had a reputation for wild & wacky fashion, or grungy and casual rock chic, and every year a few artists continued to push the envelope, past the point where we would call it fashion. The more spikes the better, and a lot less was definitely way more. But tonight, two beloved pop princesses moved the show into a whole new stylish directon! Not a sequin or sparkle between them, Taylor and Rihanna looked absolutely gorgeous in white... with soft makeup and red lips.

Taylor chose J. Mendel, a tailored suit with neat fitted single-button jacket with matching tuxedo-style trousers. Her hair was smooth and long, and the only touch of colour was bold red lips. Gold sandals completed the look.

Rihanna looked fantastic in her slinky draped white gown - while it might have seemed a more conservative choice, check out the view from behind, the dress was backless!
