Spot: Olivia Palermo & Eva Herzigova at the Montblanc 'Collection Princesse Grace de Monaco' World Premiere presentation.
Before we talk more about Fashion's Night Out, it's time for some High Society.. literally and figuratively! Held at the Monte Carlo Opera House, Montblanc deubted their 'Collection Princesse Grace de Monaco', a new collection of jewellery, watches & pens inspired by the late movie star, style icon and princess. And in case you missed the above reference, 'High Society' was one of her movies. Scroll to the bottom of the page to be reminded of the magic that was Grace Kelly.. they used a fabulous photo of her for the presentation.
Olivia Palermo was in attendance wearing an elegant lace dress from Valentino Spring/Summer 2011 - it reminds me of Keira Knightley's dress at the Venice Film Festival, which was Valentino Haute Couture. Olivia can do no wrong, but there were a few more notables.

The ladies of Royal Ascot mixed and mingled on a rather damp Ladies's Day, and we have a few colourful sightings, as you can see below.
In addition to the usual floral confections, over the past few days I noticed a number of birds - a few black swans and a parrot - as well as some unusal creations. And today we have more flowers (plenty of roses!), a tea party on a hat, a tacky tribute to Ryan Giggs (really, this is not the time or the place), and a pink feather nest (I think that's a nest!). The weather definitely impacted the day, but Her Magesty Queen Elizabeth II still managed to steal the show in a lovely bright coral pink coat suit

Ahhh, a sunny day in June wouldn't be complete without a look at the magical hats at Ascot!
Check out the photos from the Opening Day of Royal Ascot at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire - I'm not sure if it's just me, but there definitely seem to fewer wacky hats than I remember from last year..
But there still are splashes of colour and intricate designs - we have yellow flowers, a major tower of daisies (how does that stay up?), a black swan, a brown orange & pink ribbon confection (with matching dress to boot!), and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll in a lovely shade of mint green. What more could we ask for..? I'm guessing we will see the big guns come out on Ladies Day, which is on Thursday, so stay tuned!

More photos from Royal Ascot - and the highlight of Day 2 was really the lovely Katherine Jenkins in her red knit Azzedine Alaia dress (and that magnificent hat!), which was already covered here.
I'm not sure why, but the photos seem just .. well.. less than I expected... there are some fun looks here, but not as many as I had hoped. The weather was a bit damp, some drizzle going on in Berkeshire early in the afternoon, perhaps that had something to do with it. Stacy Solomon popped by with some of her pals, but without a hat - sure her hair looked great, but not even a fascinator? Ah well.

Always a fan of society events here, we get a chance to see designer dresses as favourite outfits selected for a fabulous event. And the creme de la creme of Spanish society turned out for the wedding of Rafael Medina and Laura Vecino in Spain over the weekend. He is the Duke of Feria, one of the country's most eligible bachelor, and she is the creative director at Mango. Pretty impressive pairing!
