The 2012 amfAR New York gala was held last night, bringing out a terrific assortment of stylish celebs, and it's quite an assortment of looks we have here!

Sarah Jessica Parker wore one of her favourite labels, a magnificent bubbglegum pink gown from Pre-Fall 2012, something we would have expected to see on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. However I am puzzled by the styling - there is no way this can be accidental (she didn't have time to remove her jacket and gloves!). A pink gown with little black leather jacket and ivory gloves... intriguing...

Leighton Meester once again looks nothing like Blair Waldorf (and unlike Blair, did not get married recently!), she chose one of her  favs, Louis Vuitton. She joins Rooney Mara who also wore a dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection - I love the fur bits on the skirt. Very unique.

Last but not least, Alexa Chung also wore Louis Vuitton - a combination ensemble from Spring/Summer 2012. The top was actually seen on Sarah Jessica Parker back in December at the 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball.
