Katy Perry in Alexis Mabille couture at 2012 MusiCares Person Of the Year - dramatic rose hat!

Spot: Katy Perry certainly had a flare for the dramatic as she wore a magnificent couture creation by Alexis Mabille to the 2012 MusiCares Person Of the Year Gala in Los Angeles last night.

Paul McCartney was honored as this year's person of the year, for both his creative accomplishments and charitable work, and Katy was among the many guests who attended the event held in the Los Angeles Convention Center. Yoko Ono, Alicia Keys, Tom Hanks and even Sir Richard Branson joined in the festivities.

Katy signed her divorce papers making her split from Russell Brand official (who could have predicted?), then poured herself into this gorgeous dress from Alexis Mabille Spring/Summer 2012 Haute Couture collection. The show was held just a few weeks ago during Paris Fashion Week, and Katy wore the runway look from head-to-toe - that lovely pale pink gown with vintage-style lace with delicate netting overlay at the hem, and the same over-sized rose hat.
