An awards show wouldn't be complete without showstopper gowns, and credit goes to both Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez for creating THE memorable looks of the evening!

Nicki opened the show in a metallic getup that was somewhere between a robot and an amplifier (those were speakers attached to her butt?). She performed a medley of her hits - starting with David Guetta's 'Turn Me On', to 'Where Them Girls At', and finally 'Super Bass'. And did you see the camera catch Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez singing along? Cute moment.

By the time she received her award for Favorite Rap Artist, she was wearing a knock-your-socks off ballgown by Oscar de la Renta. From the Spring/Summer 2012 runway, the sparkling black lace bodice and green skirt was fantastic with her pink hair!

Jennifer Lopez is showing no signs of slowing down since the surprise split from hubby Marc Anthony. She is currently filming 'Parker' with Jason Statham, which is a most unusual combination, if you ask me! Either he's moving into romantic comedies, or more likely, she's moving to action adventure (here's hoping!). I've always thought her best roles were the tough girls - 'Out of Sight' and 'Enough' come to mind.
