Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring 2012 kicked off today with some high profile celebrities at some very high profile shows.. and for most of the celebs in attendance, we can assume they are scoping out a few things to wear ay some upcoming events! We should all be so lucky as to have our pick of Haute Couture.
Diane looked a treat in arriving at the Versace Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012 Presentation, followed by an appearance at Dior's couture show. First of all, you might remember a stunning Diane Kruger hosting the Jaeger-Lecoultre Reverso 80th Anniversary in Paris a couple of months ago. She wore a gorgeous metallic blue lace dress by Vionnet, and at the time I wasn't sure we would see this dress online.. but again, the designer boutiques continue to amaze me. Only a few years ago, you probably would have had to go to Paris to find this dress. And now, with one click of a button... how cool is that?
At the time Diane wore the dress, I didn't realize it had a sheer chiffon back! Magical..

Fall 2011 collections continue to arrival at a steady pace, so it's time for another look down (recent) memory lane!
Miu Miu made headlines this year when they signed 2011 Awards Shows darling Hailee Steinfeld as the face of the label. Fashion houses appear to have jumped on the youth bandwagon - Hailee is only 14, and let's not forget Elle Fanning and her red carpet relationship with Valentino. Advertising is a part of fashion, sure, but I prefer to focus on how the collection looks in person (or on the red carpet!). Who endorses what isn't a game-changer for me.

Just catching up on random events from the week - there is no online shopping here, but a variety of styles for your viewing pleasure as Miu Miu hosted an evening to present Argentian director Lucrecia Martel's 'Muta' short film. This is part of The Women's Tales project, a series of short movies by female film makers.
The event was held at a private residence that was transformed into a 1940s old Hollywood glamour set. And the invited celebs obliged quite nicely in a variety of Miu Miu dresses from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection.
Diane Kruger looked fabulous, and I confess that wasn't my first thought when I saw the photos. But when I saw the back of the dress..? That's a different story - and anyone who doesn't love this look obviously hasn't

Well this is very French and tres chic today! The lovely Diane Kruger attended Jaeger-LeCoultre “Reverso 80th Anniversary Exhibition in Paris - she has been a brand ambassador for this luxury watch company since 2008. The event was held in at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, a traveling exhibit to showcase the history of the watch itself (lots of fancy pieces here!).
Diane wore Vionnet, a navy blue shimmery lace dress from Fall/Winter 2011, and as usual, she looked great. We know she pretty much has her pick of any designer, but I'm quite a fan of Vionnet.. it has received a lot of high profile celebrity wear ever since that first blue dress seen on Ginnifer Goodwin.

First of all, check out Diane'ss hairstyle, I honestly can't remember the last time we saw this kind of topknot, I love it! Very French... and tres chic. She was sizzling in red Yves Saint Laurent, plunging and draped in all the right places. And if your'e wearing a red to dress to your next event, don't forget matching lippy.

Diane Kruger made a red carpet appearance tonight in native Germany for the premiere of 'Barfuss auf Nacktschnecken' at Cimena Paris in Berlin - it's great to see her continue to work in German film while pursusing a career in Hollywood (National Treasure 3 coming soon to a theatre near you!). She divides her time between Paris and Vancouver (Joshua Jackson's hometown as well).
