Just catching up on a couple of recent Cate Blanchett style spots.. both of them in shades of gold, and both of them very major dresses! Cate can do no wrong... she takes risks in fashion, is never predicatable, and manages to look cool, call and collected in pretty much anything she wears.

She popped into Rome last week for an appearance at an event for 'Maison Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile' - this is the location of their brand store, the converted Roma Cinema Etoile (Rome's oldest movie theatre). Check out the video below for the store tour.. looks to sigh for.

And only a few days later, she was back on Aussie soil to attend the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts held at the Sydney Opera House. This was the newly created AACTA Awards, which replaced the Australian Film Institute Awards. Cate chose a stunning gold dress by Alexander McQueen - from the Spring/Summer 2012 runway, she looked as gold as an Oscar status. These are the unique fashion statements that make her a true style icon of her generation!
