Nude shades continue to dominate red carpet trends - from subtle ivory to shades of beige and taupe, and there was a terrific selection of nude at the 2011 SAG Awards.
Hilary Swank looked like a goddess in her soft nude asymmetric draped belted dress by Versace... the embellished detail was stunning, you have to check out of the close up below. She left her hair loose and long (one of the hairstyle trends of the evening) - and continues to show poise and red carpet elegance that is second to none.
Spot: Dianna Agron & Kyra Sedgwick both wore vintage couture dresses to the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on January 30, 2011.
There's no question that Dianna Agron's status as a "fashion one to watch" has been on the rise, but THIS dress has just put her officially on the fashionista map! And as far as red carpet looks go, you won't see a better example of glamour & elegance.
Spot: Sofia Vergara & Eva Longoria wore Roberto Cavalli & Georges Hobeika to the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on January 30, 2011.
An honorable red carpet mention at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards goes to those celebrities who chose plunging dresses!
You can't mention va va voom without including Sofia Vergara - she looked amazing in a plunging draped & pwlated dress by Roberto Cavalli. This is the first time she has worn Cavalli, and my goodness, what a combination. The royal blue colour is stunning on her, and it's interesting to note she was the only celebrity who chose this flattering shade. She stayed on trend with loose and long hair.
Spot: January Jones & Nicole Kidman wore Carolina Herrera & Nina Ricci lace dresses from Pre-Fall 2011 to the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on January 30, 2011.
Dresses with dramatic lace appears to have become the new black on the red carpet this season, and at the 2011 SAG Awards, we had two major fashionistas who chose variations of both black & gold lace...
Spot: Natalie Portman, Claire Danes, Jenna Fischer & Katey Sagal all wore black to the 63rd Annual DGA Awards at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center on January 29th.
Well, I'm guessing everyone got the memo about what to wear to the 63rd Annual DGA Awards in Hollywood last night (that would be the Directors Guild of America). And yes, the memo said that everyone should wear black!
Check out this rather all-black (but quite lovely) list of celebs...
Shopping Spot: Buy Diane von Furstenberg pink leather jacket online as seen on Sofia vergara out & about shopping in Los Angeles on January 29th.
If you think Sofia Vergara looks amazing on a red carpet, and pretty darn good on 'Modern Family', howzabout THESE photos..? She looks great just puttering around the shops on a sunny day in Los Angeles.. and this is a spring outfit for all of us to consider.
I first took notice of this as the perfect example of a terrific spring look - black leggings and tee, with statement YSL pumps, all brought together with a dynamite pale nude pink leather jacket. It was only when I took a better look that I realized I knew the very jcaket she was wearing.
Spot: Andrew Gn black dress seen on Amy Adams at the 22nd Annual Producers Guild (PGA) Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 22nd.
Now THIS is a red carpet sighting of Amy Adams that gets a big two thumbs up from me!
"The Fighter" actress (and many other films, of course) attended the 22nd Annual Producers Guild (PGA) Awards held at The Beverly Hilton on Saturday night looking every inch a yummy mummy. She went back a couple of seasons to Spring/Summer 2010, wearing a plunging little black dress with a bejeweled butterfly at the waist by Andrew Gn - proving that you don't need the next-season runway for a winning look!
