A quick look at the 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles on Saturday night, the very cute (and petite!) Kristin Chenoweth looked a treat in a sassy blue strapless mini dress... but did you know this was based on a wedding dress?

I love this idea... bridal designer Matthew Christopher appears to have made a cocktail dress for Kristen that was based on a current-season wedding gown, and by the looks of it, I think we may see more of this young New York-based designer on the red carpet. Check out the gallery below.

There was another dress in a lovely shade of navy blue, actress Maria Canals-Barrera wore another couturier-turned-ready-to-wear deisgner Farah Angsana. It's quite refreshing to see some new names on the red carpet - while it keeps us on our toes, it also gives us new & interesting looks. This strapless fishtail gown is stunning.
