Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad at the 2012 Grammy Awards - gorgeous in gold!
Spot: Taylor Swift and Katy Perry appeared to have the same idea for the 2012 Grammy Awards red carpet - to find the most spectacular haute couture gowns this side of Paris Fashion Week! Katy chose Elie Saab from the Spring/Summer 2012 runway, and Taylor went with Zuhair Murad... a magnificent high neck gold embellished fishtail gown from Fall/Winter 2011 Haute Couture. When interviewed on the red carpet, she said it was her favourite gown ever worn.. she had seen it before, but wanted to save it for a special event like the Grammys. This is a stunning creation, but I'm left with the same observation I had with Katy's dress.. is this really the type of look we should see on the Grammy red carpet? Seems more Oscar-worthy to me..
No denying Taylor looks lovely here - normally wearing her hair long and loose, she went for more glamour with a topknot bun, which really does accentuate the high neck details.
