Diane Kruger in Giambattista Valli vs Eva Longoria in Marchesa - Cannes 2012 Opening Ceremony

Spot: A couple of major gowns to share from the red carpet at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, as Diane Kruger and Eva Longoria made THE statements of the night.

Diane looked like a minty Grecian goddess in a one-shoulder chiffon gown by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, with glamorous floaty train and Eva carried the most elaborate ruffled train we have seen in a while! She wore Marchesa, from Fall/Winter 2011, and check out the intricate pearl & crystal embellishment. If I had to guess, I would say the train is longer than Eva's own 5'2" frame.

There is no online shopping here, of course, but I will point out a couple of lovely updos. Diane has a gorgeous bun that looks halfway between a topknot and a chignon. Eva channeled a more retro vibe with her hairstyle, I'm a fan of the side part on her. Very glam.
