Spot: Katy Perry wore Marchesa black & white dress from Fall/Winter 2010 to The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre.The MTV VMAs were held tonight in Los Angeles, and if I have to pick one signature look, it has to be Katy Perry in her spectacular dress by Marchesa. This is truly something.. and I can't see anyone else other than Katy being able to pull this look off with such style and elegance! The dress was from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection - the second time I've covered the collection today (Emma Roberts at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival).
Check out the fantastic gallery - the dress has embroidered sequin tattoo-effect black swirl design on a nude bodice, paired with a flouncy white skirt. Katy added a little kick to her look with blue & purple streaks in her jet back hair. And her manicure included little pictures of fiance Russell Brand.. cute.
She didn't perform tonight, just presented an award with Nicki Minaj, and I'm not sure the banter really worked between the two - to me, it seemed a little awkward. Ah well.. the dress was pure magic.
