It's nice see Anne Hathaway back on a blue (red!) carpet, last night she was in Los Angeles to attend the premiere of 'Rio' held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
We actually haven't seen her since she co-hosted the Academy Awards last month, and those reviews were mixed. Critics were kinder towards Anne, but wondered about James Franco's contribution. Personally I don't think any Oscar hosts can win.. the show is very long, and there's a nervous vibe in the audience.

Just catching up on some much-anticpiated films, the New York premiere of 'Arthur' was held at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Tuesday night, and it brought the lovely Jennifer Garner and Helen Mirren, both fashion notewothy in their own right. As for the film, it's a remake of a terrific little movie from 1981, and despite the major publicity, reviews haven't been great, ah well.

.. officially now a favourite jacket among celebs, it's time to take another look at Stella McCartney's monochrome tuxedo jacket!
Julia Roberts was the first to wear this white jacket when she made a very memorable appearance on The Late Night with David Letterman back in August 2010. She was there to promote 'Eat Pray Love' which I finally saw last week (it wasn't at the top of my must-see list, but I was very pleasantly surprised!).
Then just a couple of days ago, Katie Holmes popped up at the premiere of the short film 'The Decision' at Lavo in New York, and I love this look on her! She paired the jacket with cropped skinny pants and spotted pumps. You know what shoes also would have looked good..? Those

Yowza, one more dress from the New York premiere of Mildred Pierce', and check out the screen siren that is Evan Rachel Wood! This girl just keeps looking better and better every time we see her... and she certainly ramped up the va va voom factor (by the way, she has the pivotal role of Veda in the mini-series).
For the premiere, she chose to wear a dynamite rich plum colour dress by Elie Saab, from the Fall/Winter 2011 runway. Check out the thigh-high slit, it's a huge trend for the new season. It's not something I would recommend for the office, mind, but for the evening, I say go for it!

This may sound repetitive (after covering Stella McCartney's street chic), but take a good look at Gretchen Mol.. I bet you would never guess she just had a baby back on February 17th. She looks amazing.. and even that's an understatement!
She walked the red carpet at the New York premiere of 'Mildred Pierce' (note to self, March 27th, set the PVR). She doesn't have a role in this much-anticipated miniseries, but there is a strong connection to HBO as she plays Gillian in 'Boardwalk Empire'. Acting roles aside, I'm still floored by the fact she just had a baby.
