Georgina Chapman was out last night in New York, as she accompanied hubby Harvey Weinstein to the screening of 'The Intouchables' at The Paley Center for Media. And say what you will about Harvey's power in Hollywood, he has provided unbelievable support for important independent films that might never have received distribution. Following this screening, they headed to the French embassy for a reception in honour of Harvey, as he was awarded the Legion d'Honneur last month in Paris.

Madonna made a rather dramatic red carpet appearance at the Ziegfeld Theatre tonight, for the New York premiere of 'W.E.' her fictional bio-pic of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII. The critics have not been kind about the movie, but I think many will go see it to rate Madonna's directorial skills. I'm glad to see David Furnish apologized for his childish outburst on Facebook after she won the Golden Globe for Best Song (sour grapes indeed).. it only took 5 days! I've heard that Andrea Riseborough is excellent in the film, no surprise there..
