Spot: Just catching up on some recent red carpet events, Julianne Moore posed on the blue carpet at the New York Premiere of her new film 'Game Change' last week. She plays Sarah Palin in this HBO film that aired on Saturday night, and her performance is something else to behold! When we think of Sarah Palin impersonations, the comedy of Tina Fey comes to mind, but Julianne is absolutely riveting here.

As for her fashion, she has been a long-time supporter of Alber Elbaz Lanvin collection, and for this event she chose a stunning simple two-tone dress in black and white. A perfect fit, minimalist and chic, she looked poised and elegant.

The dress is available (in cocktail length) for pre-order at both Barneys and LUISAVIAROMA, and we throw the name around so easily (Lanvin, that is!), it's easy to forget the exclusivity! Chatting to my own style icon, she reminded me that these dresses, while seemingly common on the celebrity circuit, are beautifully made and very exclusive (which explains the price) - and these are also dresses designed to last well beyond a couple of seasons.
