Shopping Spot: Gucci asymmetric sheer chiffon dresses as seen on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Florence Welch.How about a battle of major Gucci dresses today..? I'm kidding, there's not "battle" here, but I do find it interesting to see two major dresses from Gucci Fall/Winter 2011 collection being worn worlds apart! Rsei Huntington-Whiteley appeared on the very green carpet of the Moscow Film Festival wearing a stunning asymmetric dress with statement floral shoulder and sheer skirt over hotpants.
And the next morning, Florence Welch rocked Good Morning America's Summer Concert series in Central Park wearing a luscious berry colour one sleeve chiffon dress with statement floral accents. And the same sheer skirt over hotpants. Florence has an advantage when it comes to this collection as apparently she was one of designer Frida Giannini mentioned Florence as one of her influences!
These statement floral dresses also remind me of Beyonce, hanging over the balcony of the Ritz in Paris for her Harper's Bazzaar photoshoot a couple of months ago.. and Selma Hayek at the photocall for 'Puss in Boots' at Cannes.
Fall/Winter 2011 marked Gucci's 90th anniversary, and it certainly makes an impact here! Photos below..
