Spanish-born actress Astrid Berge-Frisbey will definitely cause a stir in coming weeks, as she plays the mermaid Syrena in 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'. This is her first English-speaking role, and the actress, who currently resides in Paris (acting in both Spanish and French films) had to brush up on her English for the role. Sounds like Penelope Cruz was the perfect co-star to have on hand!

Chanel threw a dinner as part of the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, and I'm guessing it was quite the coveted invitation! You might call it a mini awards show for the organizers.. they were helping to honour all the artists who have donated to teh festival. Guests included New York fixtures Robert DeNiro and Lauren Hutton.. mixing and mingling with Naomi Watts, Rose Byrne and Zoe Kravitz, shown here.
As befitting a Chanel-hosted event, all three girls wore Chanel. It has been a while since we've seen Rose Byrne on a red carpet, and she's looking terrific. I love the fringe hairstyle! She wore a black sparkling number from Chanel Spring/Summer 2011,

Little Emma Roberts has certainly become one to watch.. it's too soon to tell if her acting career will equal that of Aunt Julia (pretty tough act to follow there!), but her fashion has been coming alon quite nicely. And a ticket to the Chanel show bodes well for her future! She looked a treat in a pale blue tweed dress with feather accents from Chanel Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I adore this dress.. on Emma with her sky high silver pumps, and on its own. Fabulous.

Well, you had to know the Chanel Ready To Wear Fall/Winter 2011 show would be a hot ticket during Paris Fashion Week, so it's no surprise to see a variety of celebrities coming and going. I'm going to break this up as it was an interesting cross-section this season.. so let's get started with the musicians!
I'm so happy to see Lily Allen out in Paris, she has always been a favourite here on the site. I started out as a fan of her music, but grew to admire her strength. It's easy to forget how young she is! She wore a dark green coat from Chanel Pre-Fall 2011. I love her Audrey Hepburn hair & sunglasses here - tres chic.
