Spanish-born actress Astrid Berge-Frisbey will definitely cause a stir in coming weeks, as she plays the mermaid Syrena in 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'. This is her first English-speaking role, and the actress, who currently resides in Paris (acting in both Spanish and French films) had to brush up on her English for the role. Sounds like Penelope Cruz was the perfect co-star to have on hand!
For her first North Americn premiere she chose Chanel Haute Couture (what else?), a new season delicate gossamer off-shoulder dress from the Spring/Summer 2011 couture runway. Since this is couture, there will be no online (or offline) availability, but take note of this name for future red carpet events!
