Alice Dellal & Astrid Berges-Frisbey in Chanel Couture - Biennale des Antiquaires

First off, if you happen to be in Paris between September 16th and 24th, you have to pay a visit to the 26th Biennale des Antiquaires, held at the Grand Palais.. it's a treasure trove of beautiful.. well... treasures! Dealers showing off the best in fine arts, antiques and collectibles .. and the event was also staged by Karl Lagerfeld. Which is why we are looking at two beautiful pieces of Chanel Haute Couture.

We haven't seen Alice Dellal on the site for a while, and I have never seen her look better! A stunning jacket, in a dark shade of plum, lush and luxurious, with crystal trim on the lapel and cuffs. It's actually the top part of a suit from Chanel Fall/Winter 2011 Haute Couture - the runway showed with a long matching skirt. I love that Alice wore it on its own, it's fresh and sophisticated, and an example of how the new generation wears couture.

And Astrid Berges-Frisbey has been a Chanel girl since her first major red carpet appearance - she was the captive mermaid in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'. Last night she wore a stunning midnight blue & white dress from Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 couture collection. This is so feminine and sweet... sometimes it's fun to just admire couture..
