Jemima Khan in Alexander McQueen gold dress @ 'Sports for Peace' - Muhammad Ali
Let the games (almost!) begin.. and as London gears up for an exciting couple of weeks, you can expect plenty of sports-related events.The parties kicked off last night as the Victoria & Albert museum hosted 'Sports for Peace', an evening to honour and celebrate Muhammed Ali'. He was actually the guest of honor at the event, which raised funds for the Muhammad Ali educational center, and Parkinson's research. As for the fashion, Jemima Khan gets it just right in a gold dress by Alexander McQueen - she gets the automatic thumbs up (Fashion for a Good Cause), but heck, this is a very notable dress under any circumstances.
You might remember another Alexander McQueen fan, Cate Blanchett, wearing the same gold dress at the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards.
It was a stunner both then and now - from the Spring/Summer 2012 runway, the dress has structured shoulders, interesting scoop neckline and textured tiered hem... all in a gleeeaming gold that reminds me of an Oscar statue!
