Spot: How about a look at the edgy red carpet style of Malin Akerman? The Canadian blonde struck a couple of statement poses at both the Los Angeles and London premiere of 'Rock of Ages' (which was only 2 days apart!).In Los Angeles on Friday, she showed plenty of leg in a black cutout dress by Reem Acra. Modified from the Fall/Winter 2012, this is a very bold statement indeed! Compared to the original runway version, there is MUCH more cutout at the waist, the covered high-neck is gone, and it looks like barely a thread is keeping it together. Maybe it's just me, but it looks more like Versace with these changes.
For the London premiere, she looked absolutely magical in Marchesa! Delicate sequined embellishment on sheer fabric has become a hot red carpet trend (just look at Jessica Chastain at the Tony Awards), and Malin gets this very very right.
