Kate Beckinsale in Donna Karan Resort 2013 - 'Total Recall' London & Dublin Premieres

It made sense for me to combine these two gowns - they are from the same collection (Resort 2013), with similar shape. Strapless gowns with structured origami-style bodice, oversized bows (one on the side, the other on the fornt), and almost a fishtail hem. At the Dublin Premiere, held at The Savoy, she wore a shimmering pink satin gown.. and last night in London, it was back to black.. with a major sparkle down the length of the gown, and thigh high split. Once again, they were both Donna Karan Resort 2013.

Kate is stunning, there is no question, and has always been polished and poised on the red carpet. But honestly, I sometimes wish for fashion moments that aren't perfect and polished (remember Bjork in her swan dress?). Kate looks lovely, but it all seems very styled to me.. and quite similar to her red carpet appearances as a judge at last year's Cannes Film Festival.
