Before we talk fashion, this was a very unusual show.. one of those "performance art" events, where the table centerpieces were actually live people (yup, not kidding). Can you imagine attending a dinner where "The centerpiece will observe you. You may observe the centerpiece. No touching, feeding, offering drink, or disrespecting the centerpiece". Guests wore lab coats, to make them part of the experiment - and it also raised $2.5 million for the museum.
I hope Nicole didn't have to wear a lab coat over her gorgeous dress by Julian Macdonald! From his Fall/Winter 2011 collection, a mauve shade of pink with major beaded & feather embellishment and gorgeous chiffon skirt.
