Leighton Meester's fashion is back on site, not as Blair Waldorf, but wearing Giambattista Valli to the screening of 'The Oranges', her latest film with Hugh Laurie.This movie sounds intriguing - it premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, so I'm a little surprised to see it being released a full year later. Leighton plays the May in this May-to-December romance - Hugh is her father's friend, and yes, they begin a relationship. It's supposed to be quite clever, and on my list now.
For the screening, Leighton looked sophisticated in a lean black dress by Giambattista Valli. From the Fall/Winter 2012 runway the black wool & silk blend dress is a classic - sleeveless, impeccably cut, with a draped asymmetric black chiffon overlay. It's perfect for Leighton's non-Blair self, and come to think of it, I actually prefer her personal style!
