Oh my goodness, Carey Mulligan looked absolutely fantastic as the The Critics' Circle Film Awards.. and I don't know what I love more.. her hair, the dress, the colour of the dress, or that cute little smile. She never chooses anything overdone, favouring smart and elegant dresses, and this is a label she has worn before. Say hello to Roland Mouret, a red dress with a few white flowers carefully placed (I wouldn't go so far as to call this floral print, but those delicate white silhouettes are just lovely). The shape is interesting as well.
This is from the the Spring/Summer 2012 runway, a collection I expect to see online in a matter of weeks, and when this dress arrives, we can assume it will sell out quickly.

Here's another fashion noteworthy actress today.. the lovely Carey Mulligan was also at Comic-Con in San Diego. She was there to promote 'Drive', her new film that comes out in September. With Ryan Gosling & Christina Hendricks, it's a "heist gone wrong" story that was getting some buzz at the Cannes Film Festival. She has spent some time in the theatre, but with two two films coming out this year, we will be seeing more of Carey this summer.

This was one of my favourite looks on Carey Mulligan, and it's hard to believe it was almost four months ago (not sure 'bout you, but I have no idea where a whole four months have gone!). She was in Los Angeles, attending the BAFTA Los Angeles 2010 Britannia Awards, back on November 4th, 2010.
Carey looked cool, calm and collected wearing a tea length cream beaded bodice and black dress - this was relatively new off the runway at the time, Preen Spring/Summer 2011. Now this was quite the fashion power couple last October - Keira Knightley and Caery Mulligan making select promotional rounds for their film 'Never Let Me Go'. Frankly I was confused by this film.. it didn't appear to get wide release, and disappeared quickly after it premiered at the Times BFI London Film Festival. Hmm.. it's now high on my list of rentals as it received some compelling reviews.
Carey & Keira struck some terrific poses for the Photocall ahead of the premiere on October 13th, and Carey stayed true to her preference for modern minimalsim. She wore an ochre/mustard yellow dress by Proenza Schouler, from the Spring/Summer 2011 runway.
