Denise Vasi from All My Children is actually wearing a one-shoulder green & purple print dress with mesh cutouts that regular readers have seen here before - it was worn by 'Victoria's Secret turned Celebrity Apprentice hopeful' Selita Ebanks. And while Selita channeled full-on glamour with major hair, Denise gets the nod from me for her sleek approach. They are definitely too young to be called Grand Dames of Daytime TV, but Eileen Davidson and Michelle Stafford have been playing the roles of Ashley and Phyllis long enough to warrant some kind of special mention! And they both looked amazing at the 2010 Daytime Emmy Awards - speaking of which, I'm guessing they also have the same access to the fountain of youth, as you can clearly see below.

They both wore Herve Leger bandage dresses to the Daytime Emmys - Eileen went for a gold foil classic scoop neck Leger, and Michelle looked unbelievable in her black cutout bandage dress. You have to be in perfect shape to carry off Michelle's dress (no hiding anything!) and she just knocked it out of the park. Fantastic look.

The 2010 Daytime Emmy Awards were on last night, and while there was a moving tribute to Dick Clark, and a terrific focus on the industry charity, it felt like we didn't see enough of our favorite soap celebs! They hardly showed any clips of the actors & actresses norminated.. oh well, maybe next year.

Having said that, there were  few standouts who presented, and Sharon Newman herself (that would be Sharon Case, of course) looked terrific in her ombre sequin dress - hints of gold, bronze, orange & black! She actually wore it off the shoulder in the photo here, and when she presented - you can take your pick how to wear it yourself.

Another Days of Our Lives actress showed off a terrific sense of style at the Daytime Emmys Pre-Party at Mandalay Bay - this time it was pretty little redhead Molly Burnett who plays Melanie. And if she looks bubbly & smiling in these photos, in person she is that & more. A charming & pretty girl, and very happy in real life with boyfriend-fellow-DOOL-actor Casey Deidrick (he's actually 6'4"!) - you can see the smile in the photo below.

In between all the X Factor coverage, I decided to take a peek at my fav US soap General Hospital, a VERY big storyline is being wrapped up this week! Mobster Sonny found out last week that his mobster wife Claudia (rival family, played by the remarkable Sarah Brown!) hired a hit man to kill him last year, who accidentally shot his son instead, who was in a coma for a year and surprisingly woke up looking 8 years older. Exactly.

Days of Our Lives very own Alison Sweeney appeared at the 44th Annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon as one of Jerry's co-hosts this weekend (sharing the honors with Jann Carl & Nancy O'Dell), helping raise $60.5 million dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. And she looked a treat in a fabulous red chiffon gown, which happens to be available online!
