Marchesa is the high-end fashion label co-founded by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig in 2004. This design team became recognizable on the red carpet even before they showed on any runway. The line is named after  socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati, a socialite born in 19thcentury and famous for her eccentriciteis - walking her pet cheetah on a diamond encrusted leash, lavish dinner parties with wax mannequins among others. She was a collector of exquisite garments from around the world, and exotic animals and it is this unique exotic style that insires the collection.

The Marchesa look is distinctive - pretty & delicate evening gowns, draping fabrics, modern, femininity, bias cuts and asymmetrical necklines. And their fan following consists of some A-List celebrities: Jennifer Lopez, Sienna Miller were among the first to wear their gowns, to rave reviews.
