I've always liked Katherine Heigl's choices on the red carpet, she usually sticks to the look of old Hollywood glamour (fabulous curvy gowns, polished hair, red lippy).. but tonight she totally surprised me. And what a pleasant surprise! She pulled an Anne Hathaway and wore a sleek & sophisticated Dolce & Gabbana suit to pick up her People's Choice Award. AND like Anne, her hair was styled back in a hairband.. Katherine wore a 2-band version, not unlike Cheryl Cole who was the first to wear this new trend.

Instead of showing you a Dolce & Gabbana suit, I'm going to recommend you take your best boyfriend blazer out of the closet (you have one by now?), throw on some skinny jeans & platform pumps, and pick up a funky little hairband. Or is it headband..? You can call it either...
