Julia Roberts: Simple & elegant in white Dolce & Gabbana dressSo last night the Film Society of Lincoln Center honoured Tom Hanks at a Gala Tribute and many celebs were present & accounted for.. but before I bring you the general snaps, you HAVE to check out Julia Roberts in a white Dolce & Gabbana white floral brocade dress, paired with a simple 3/4 sleeve black cardigan.

I know many of us can totally identify with the simplicity of this outfit, she looks cool, calm and comfortable, but still ready for the paps. In my mind, Julia Roberts always gets in right, and I love the caramel locks!

Given all the fussiness of red carpets, I love seeing a look that can easily be worn in real life, and right away. Julia Roberts: Her very cool Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses available onlineOriginal Source: Readers might know that I'm very partial to my own Burberry Aviators, but seeing these snaps of Julia Roberts outside the Late Show with David Letterman yesterday made me think twice! Trends in sunglasses haven't haven't really changed too much in the past couple of seasons - do not put your aviators away (as seen here), bigger is still better (oversized plastic frames are still quite glam), and renewed interest in Ray Ban Wayfarers continue, with some new emerging players (check out Jessica Alba & her Super sunnies).

This also means that you don't need to always buy the "newest" frame - brands like Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana & Prada will update & tweak their collections, but the "vibe" remains largely unchanged. As for Julia Roberts here, this goes to show how flattering the perfect frame can be..  it's a great look!
