During her appearance in Sydney yesterday to launch the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty event, Eva Mendes looked terrific in a dress by Hong Kong designer John Rocha and (all the rage) sky-high berry-color Yves Saint Laurent t-strap sandals.

But what caught our eye was the subtle spiderweb cuff on her wrist - and we decided to look for some more spider-inspired items. This is a fun accessory trend (like butterflies this past summer, and skulls in previous seasons)..  in the insect world, spiders have been known to prey on butterflies, and this sets the perfect tone for the dark gothic season coming up!
