Trend: The Tribal Vibe

When one hears the word "Tribal" in fashion, it's easy to assume it refers to African-inspired style, such as animal prints, chunky wooden accessories. And while we DO mean that here, it's time to think outside the Tribal box!

Spring/Summer 2009 has seen a re-emergence of bright colour combinations, and if you can close your eyes and imagine South American or Aztec inspired prints, you're on the right track with THIS Tribal Vibe.

This trend is all about subtle accessories & wardrobe add-ons, there is no need to dress head-to-toe-tribal! Rather, pick your items carefully - a tribal tunic with chic white trousers, or skinny jeans. A tribal sandal with an elegant dress, or chunky gold beaded jewelry with a white tee & jeans. Also, be on the lookout for embellished items of clothing - that's the easiest way to add the trend with very little effort on your part!
