The concept of Tribal Chic extends from slashed effects (like Sienna Miller shown here in Balmain Spring/Summer 2010) to the jungle effect in general. And while jungle prints never really go out of style, they certainly do get an update every season. Spring 2010 is no exception - your basic cats like leopard & zebra are definitely still trendy, but we have taken it to a whole new level of tribal chic. And this is one of those trends that can infiltrate every aspect of your wardrobe - office attire, casual weekends, sophisticated dinners, or even just a fun night out.
Fans of leopard print don't have to worry, as it still does come in its usual colours (shapes are just more minimal & streamlined, like this Love Moschino pencil dress below), and while we saw an infusion of blue & pink leopard last season, this trend continues with even MORE multi-coloured leopard print. Bold colour combinations, as well as pale pastel animal prints. You also have the rest of the jungle at your disposal.. animal prints include zebra, giraffe, cheetah, in as many combinations as you like.

While neutral & whites will dominate your Spring/Summer 2010, don't forget the mandatory splash of colour! And if style icon Sarah Jessica Parker is anything to go by, that colour is a lovely shade of pink. Shown here at the London premiere of "Have You Heard About The Morgans", she wore a dynamite L'Wren Scott strapless pink brocade dress from Resort 2010 that just happened to be available online.
For your own appearances, red-carpet or otherwise, there are lots to choose from. Colour trends are very easy to add to your wardrobe, as you can pick from any number of styles - one-shoulder dresses, strappy tops, elegant pencil dresses, funky tops, or even minimal jackets.
The pink trend actually does come in two very different shades this season - blush pink is so pale, it really is considered part of the neutral trend. Hot pink stands on it's own for the wow factor and instant splash of trendy colour! Lots to choose from below..

Whether you're looking for your own next red carpet look, or just a quick wardrobe touch-up for the new season, you should definitely put "Draping and/or Ruched" on the list. You won't find an easier, more flattering or versatile trend this season!
There was plenty of draping to be found on the Spring 2010 runway, from casual collections like Twenty8Twelve right up to the very French & very major Jean Paul Gaultier. Most notable was Burberry Prorsum - designer Christopher Bailey brought the Burberry brand back to London Fashion Week after a ten-year absence, and presented a collection that was almost competely draped!
Draped dresses and tops are easy to wear, and very flattering.. they hide those areas you want to keep hidden (whether real or imagined!) and require very little fuss. No need to over-accessorize, the dress or top speaks for itself. Choose a terrific colour and neckline that suits, this is also a perfect trend for the office. Runway photos & new season shopping picks below!

It can be tough keeping up with Karl Lagerfeld, we never know what to expect! Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 ready to wear was all about the country life.. his own version of gingham, frayed edges, clogs and casual shapes. This Spring/Summer 2010 Haute Couture collection is like a flash of bright light.. pale shimering silvers, pastel colours, and the most amazing liquid silver booties. Black appeared only once as an accessory (a tie!), and you won't find any navy on this runway.
If Judy Jetson wore Haute Couture, this would be it.. the silver & gold gloves, the pointed shoulders, and beautifully sculpted shapes. The heart-shaped bouffant hairstyles are an added touch that reminds us of the 50s, when space age was all the rage. And Judy Jetson was definitely the most fashionable girl in space!

If you're a fan of soft & feminine looks, this new Sheer Trend for Spring/Summer 2010 fits the bill perfectly! Not to be confused with the popular holiday trend, this trend consists of a fresh new colour palette, with all sorts of new ways to mix & match all the sheer fabrics in your wardrobe.
