Green Trend for 2012: Seafoam green, mint or jade - DKNY Stretch Silk Crepe Dress & more shopping the trend

This season will be all about colour, and fans of green will be thrilled to see a variety of shades in the new season colour wheel! We enjoyed some very rich shades of emerald and forest green throughout 2011 (who can forget the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, when green dominated the red carpet?), but now it's time to lighten up just a little.. the shades of green, that is!

From minty fresh to sea foam green, these shades are bright and tropical, and very pretty. You don't need to have a flair for the dramatic here, just add a splash to your wardrobe through a fun new top, or a simple green dress. For the office, we continue to use the same style tip - pair your green dress with black to stay within the season. If you're wearing a green dress, wear black opaque tights and black boots, and throw on a sharp little black jacket. Your green top can be paired with black trousers as well, or for something a little more forward, wear green with navy blue! And with color block making a comeback this season, you can skip the solid green, and just add a little touch to your wardobe - this Diane von Furstenberg combo shirtdress will do the trick quite nicely.
