Pink Trend for Summer 2012: Bold & bright - top pink dresses for the new season

It's time to turn the brights on again! Bold and neon shades were among the very first trends covered for Spring/Summer 2012, and by now they should be on your must-have list. And just like red dresses, a statement pink dress is a great way to add this trend to your wardrobe.

Styles are minimalist this season, you can find some ruffles, but mostly the accents are unique and geometric in nature - origami-style draping, pleats, colour block effects. Shapes range from sassy mini dresses, to full feminine skirts and column-style maxi dresses. Pink is fun and festive, and a very easy colour to dress up for the evening. Just add some crystal sparkle or subtle elegance and you're all set! And keep in mind your makeup should be soft as well - unlike red, where we do like to colour match lips to the dress, stick with nude or blush shades of pink lipstick when you wear a pink dress (although feel free to glam up your eyes!).
