If you're looking to add a new kick to your wardrobe this fall, this trend has your name on it. While we started to see over the knee boots last season, they have become a VERY major trend for the new season - they even have their own initials, "OTK" boots. And now that new season products have started to arrive in your fav online stores, there is quite a selection to choose from.

There are three distinct looks for OTK, and which one you choose largely depends on your current lifestyle.

The Glamazon - all the major shoe designers have come up with some pretty fabulous over-the-top over-the-knee boots. The likes of Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo (among others) offer up a number of sophisticated choices - since the look is glamour, wear these with shift dresses and opaque tights. Anything feminine and stylish. Beyonce & Rihanna come to mind.

The Pirate - For Fall 2009 Stella McCartney showed off boots that were actually leggings and Vivienne Westwood's runway show was full of pirate wenches (think Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean!). These OTK boots are for the confident strong woman, paired with leggings and slouchy knits. The independent fashionista who doesn't follow the rules. Agyness Deyn fits this profile!

The Casual - Since every shoe designer has some variation of OTK boots, there are lots to choose from for everyday wear. These boots are flat, comfortable, and even a little sporty. Opaque tights, leggings, long plaid shirts, and as many comfortable layers as you like!

Fashionistas will flock to The Glamazon, but if you're a student, and budget-conscious, The Casual is right for you. Work in an office? The Pirate can be easily incorporated into a more conservative outfit. Check out the selection below..
