Trend: Pumpkin Orange for Fall/Winter 2008

While Tomato Red remains one the primary colors for Fall 2008, warm shades of orange & yellow aren't far behind. And orange can be served up as THE perfect transitional color - take anything in orange, pair it with white, and you have a fun summery look. Combine orange with black, and you've toned down the look, and added a touch of fall. The color of changing leaves...

Since shapes are very streamlined for the new season, designers seem to have presented orange with very little ruffles & accents. It seems to work best with clean simple lines, and no embellished fuss at all. In reality, nothing beats a simple orange dress (take any of the those shown below) combined with black opaque tights and some fun riding boots.

For early-fall transitional wear, the same dress looks terrific with bare legs & simple pumps. One color for two seasons!
