This a trend brought on by the return of retro glam - a throwback to those stylish women spotted on Mad Men, a time when pencil skirts & little white gloves were au courant. The modern 2009 version is elegant, sure, but also a little more edgy. How to wear this? I see this a fabulous office/work trend - pick a shape that you're comfortable in, and pair it with a pair of ankle booties (with opaque tights), or statement pumps.
