Giorgio Armani presented his Spring/Summer 2010 couture collection during Paris Fashion Week under what could have been called the pale moonlight (or by the light of the silvery moon!). Clearly lunar-inspired - crescent shape clasps were a giveaway - there was an ethereal twinkly feeling to this luxury collection.

As with all things Armani, this was understated, elegant and timeless... and the clean lines belie the complexity of the items. Check out the intricate crystal beading, amazing stuctured shapes, and shiny fabrics that seem to glisten under the moonlight...

In keeping with Spring trends, there is a noticeable absence of colour, the focus is clearly black, white & silver. It can be tough keeping up with Karl Lagerfeld, we never know what to expect! Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 ready to wear was all about the country life.. his own version of gingham, frayed edges, clogs and casual shapes. This Spring/Summer 2010 Haute Couture collection is like a flash of bright light.. pale shimering silvers, pastel colours, and the most amazing liquid silver booties. Black appeared only once as an accessory (a tie!), and you won't find any navy on this runway.

If Judy Jetson wore Haute Couture, this would be it.. the silver & gold gloves, the pointed shoulders, and beautifully sculpted shapes. The heart-shaped bouffant hairstyles are an added touch that reminds us of the 50s, when space age was all the rage. And Judy Jetson was definitely the most fashionable girl in space!
